Sarah Palin finally makes a big endorsement since resigning as governor of Alaska: Doug Hoffman for NY-23. Well, that may just put the last nails on the coffin regarding Dede Scozzafava’s troubled campaign.

The NRCC sure stepped on a conservative ant hill that is the NY-23 special election. Even more mind boggling is that somebody like Newt Gingrich, a high profile Republican politician and so-called conservative champion, would happily stick his hands into the mob of ants.

The Republican Party establishment just can’t seem to earn our trust anymore, and eventually will be shamed by conservatives for the positions the party has taken and the candidates it endorses.

How else would you explain the endorsement of Dede Scozzafava to run in a N.Y. House special election?
Yes, winning an election is important. But so is support from the conservative base.
The Republican Party needs to do the right thing for its candidates to be rewarded handsomely in 2010 and 2012. Seriously.
