Yet another .gov site, courtesy of our tax money.
Does it provide more transparency to the government entities? No. Does it cut government spending? Unlikely. Does it help our troops overseas? Ha. Does it protect our homeland? Yawn.
Say hello to Go.USA.Gov — Washington’s very own URL shortening service. “Create short, trustworthy .gov URLs,” the site says. Why can’t the government just use bit.ly like 90% of the world? Instead, the administration spends our money to create this site and service when there are plenty of field proven alternatives.
And you didn’t think the Obama administration is anti-capitalist and detest private enterprise?
